hot radiators but no hot water

Do you mean hot water not running or hot water that gone cold?
Is the gravity primary pipes hot? ( the pipes that run from boiler to cylinder)
Check that there is water in F + E tank? ( small tank in loft ) and check that there is water in large tank as well.

Thanks Dan it was the small tank in the loft ,the ballcock was jammed .
