hot water and CH on all time

On returning from holiday CH and HW not coming on. BG man diagnosed pump gone and replaced. Now HW on all the time, regardless of whether timer on or not. Also radiators warm, regardless of thermostat setting or timer setting.

Any ideas??

What is the boiler or even type of system?. Guessing an s plan with the hw valve latched open.

Mexico Super 3 boiler, new pump is BG Multihead G. CH has two zones, upstairs and down. Pipe splits after pump to honeywell valves for upstairs CH and HW. switches on both these valves moving OK and set to auto.

Pipe to downstairs zone appears to bypass pump?? it's downstairs radiators that are warming.

For boiler to be firing and pump running all the time . It must be a fault on a motorised valve, the microswitch on one is stuck . Call BG back and tell them you have a fault

It is if he has left the lever on the side of the valve latched open!

sounds like a new motorised vale (actuator) is required. it's very odd for both your heating and hot water zone vale (s-plan) to be both stuck at the same time though!!
