Hi there,

Please can anyone help - i have recently moved into a new house and have got what i think may be a problem with the hot water and/or boiler.

I have a wall mounted, fanned, room sealed Potterton Puma 80e combi boiler (as read from the boiler itself, even though the manual i was left actually says 100e on it), and the problem is that the hot water often is only luke warm at best. Even though the gauge on the boiler is near max temperature, from every tap and/or shower it seems to take an age for the hot water to actually turn hot, and then on numerous occasions (for example when running a bath) the water only remains hot from a few seconds before going luke warm. Also, there are two showers in the house, but it seems that hot water will only go to one shower at a time - meaning you can't use them at the same time. Through all of these problems, the central heating appears to remain absolutely fine.

Does all this sound like a common problem(s)? As you may tell, i am a DIY novice - especially when it comes to plumbing etc, therefore i would really appreciate some advice or guidance on either potential problems and next steps.

Many thanks.
