Thought I had sorted earlier in the month through help from this site-alas not. De scaled and flushed CH system until it ran clear. Re-filled with inhibitor/vented everything and now working loads quieter. However still getting hot water venting into header tank every 5 mins for about 20 seconds. Looked at other posts about leaking coil in HW cylinder as a possibility but the symptoms don't seem to match. Any ideas?

Yes, it has not been done properly - assuming that you do not have a problem with your boilers thermostat. A proper (professional) powerflush would probably cure the system.

Symptoms of a holed coil are completely different.

S plan? (2 x 2 ports)?
Bypass?

Pipe configuration near the vent/feed?

Thanks for the responses so far. Chris R I'm not sure what you mean by s plan, 2x2 ports, by pass.

Just turned it all on again and within 10 mins it was venting hot water into the header tank. Any ideas?
