Hi folks

I am removing my old boiler and because of other work I am doing i will not be having a new pressurised system fitted for around a month.

My question is can I cap the feed and supply from the ch header tank, drain the CH system and carry on using the emmersion for hot water in the mean time?

My only concern is around the possibility that the ch header tank may have been used to somehow vent the HW cylinder. Is this a possibility or am I talking bol**ks?

Thanks in anticipation.

That's fine. The HW cylinder should be vented into the storage cistern (the larger one in the loft), not the feed and expansion cistern (header tank).
