Morning.
I have the boiler shown in photo.
Had to get up as it was cold & could see we had no heating.

Red battery light on controller flashing so I replaced batteries with what I had.
Red light no off.

Controller shows ON but boiler isn’t doing anything.
I pressed reset & boiler starts a cycle if that’s what you call it.
The green flame in the left lights up & I can hear boiler fire up. This lasts for say 10 seconds then it stops & green flame goes out.
ON still visable on controller though.

Switching hot tap on light green flame again & boiler fires up & hot water is present.

Any ideas what I should do please.
Does it sound like communication issue with controller & boiler ?

Do I need to go buy new fresh batteries ?

Thanks.

Just bought & fitted 4 new AA batteries.
I found instructions for pairing.
Press & hold button on receiver until orange light flashing.
Done that.
Press button for say 10 seconds & the orange light will turn white / blue.
Done that.
Now I fit batteries in stat.
I see on stat screen a boot up message followed by Re Connecting.
This is as far as it goes & im expecting at this point for it to pair but stays in same re connecting screen.

Did you buy decent quality batteries? As a temporary measure if you press the grey button on the receiver it should override and bring the heating on.

Energizer max

I’m still getting the white / blue pairing light on or flashing when I press the button you mention

I press that button you mention & see a green light but no boiler flame green light

Pressing the button you mention the white / blue flashing light changes to orange.
I press the same button again at the bottom & turns green.
I hear the boiler fire up but after say 10 seconds it goes all quiet

You still need to ascertain if boiler is getting called to fire.
Does the manual override function on the receiver stay active?
If it does, and the boiler doesn't stay lit then it seems you have 2 issues.
Is boiler quiet yet still active?

If changing batteries and pushing buttons is the limit of your skills, then best to get someone in IMO.

I press the bottom right button on the receiver & it lights up green then pretty much straight after i hear the boiler start to hum etc.
This now has been humming for a few minutes but the green light that should be lit by the flame logo on the boiler never lights up.
The green light on the receiver is still on.
Done this a few times now & the same.

Only time i see green light lit on the boiler is when i turn on for hot water

British gas came out.
He changed the stat & receiver for the newer type which is touch screen.
Paired in minutes.

Boiler fired up but after 10 seconds etc started to die down.

Did all his checks etc & then connected a hose to a spout & then into the bucket.

There was no water moving around the system only say 3 ft down the pipe from boiler.

So whilst the hose connected & water coming out he was filling it at the same time. Did this for say 3-5 minutes.
Big air lock in system, all cleared & fine.

Many thanks
