hot water cycilder not heating up!!!

Hi . i had a new cycinder put in a few wks ago . Since then am having problems with my hot water supply , am not getting any.. I had everything checked and checked again and everything is working ok . My electrics are all ok but yet the cycinder is not heating upp the tank of water . i have storage heaters.

Can anyone helkp me PLEASE.

Hi ok . i have storage heaters in my house, My water and heating heats up during the night, I never had any problems until i had a leak at the bottom of the cycinder .
I had a new one fitted with new elements. but since then i still dont get hot water ?..the elements and plugs and wiring have all been checked and are all ok, working fine. . The light comes on at 12.30 am to start heating the water and goes of at 7 am but water does not get hot . My storage heaters get hot during the night .

in the morning i may get about 2 mins of hot water then cold. The out pipe gets hot also.

any idea just what length Immersion Heater was put in?, If it is top-mounted a 27" one might be suitable, whereas a mere 11" (ooh-er-missus) may give the symptoms you describe.

Am not sure . cycinder is 900x450.. When i put the immersion switch on to boast so i can get so0me hot water, that does not really get the water hot, just warm then cold .

Has the re-set button tripped in the bottom element?

Remove the cover and take a picture.

The installer has been over last wk and said it was my wires not commecting. since then i had them looked at and everything is ok with them ..
Need to call him out again..

I think that your installer coiuld be rather lacking in certain skills!

My price for supplying and fitting a new cycinder is usually about £460.

Was your installer much cheaper?

But then I do the job properly and sort out any problems which may arise.
