Hot Water Cylinder, what do i have?

is it an indrect cylinder i've got.


immersion heater, cold water storage tank in the attic, open vented.


what all else do i need to tell you?


thinking about a mixer shower and i may need a bigger cylinder, as the one i have is 36" tall and not sure if it'll be big enough

Just an immersion heating it would be direct, boiler flow and return's piped through it via a internal coil would be indirect with immersion back up.
Are you planning on pumping the shower or keeping it gravity fed?
 
If there's a boiler connected to the cylinder, and only one tank in the loft, it could be a primatic.
 
sorry, yes the boiler is connected to it, emmersion is for back up, and theres on 1 tank in thee attic



think i'd need to pump the shower, as cylinder & bathroom are on the same level
