Hi,
I was in my loft yesterday and noticed that the header tank for my gravity fed system was steaming hot. Is this normal? also when the boiler is heating the water tank after about 15 minutes I hear a bubbling sound for a couple of seconds inside the water cylinder... any advise, thanks. :?:

Hot headernot uncommon - a waste of heat. Can be cured by a small plumbing mod (downward loop).

SInging cylinders - often a bit of limescale. Hard water area?

What is heating the hot water?

Electric immersion heater?
Solid Fuel fire/stove
gas/oil Boiler?

What temperature is the hot water cylinder sitting at?

Thanks for the information guy's.

The water is heated by a back boiler, and I would say that the water temp was about that of a hot bath.

Thanks.
