A picture nail has hit the 15mm radiator hot water pipe behind wall
I heard the noise as the nail hit the copper pipe.
I have carefully drilled a hole at the right place and can see the pipe.
The nail has dented the pipe i have removed the nail and it did go part way into the copper pipe surface
However the pipe has not burst, split and is not leaking.
My question is if the pipe is not leaking does the section need replacing?
Thanks in advance.

tough one to call without seeing it, it don't take much for a nail to pierce copper, I'd cut it and put a coupling on just for piece of mind, but if its not leaking, and its your own house, ( meaning if it starts to leak you're there to fix it) it might never leak,

You'll need to drain down to solder. You can get a tube of Liquid Metal that is really solid (2 part epoxy). The odds are it will never be a problem anyway. You were lucky. :p

Have you been on a fast-track course recently Joe?

Or is GD a bit slow these days? ;)
