Hi

I live in a two storey house.
Boiler in garage & megaflow on middle floor.

Ground floor water pressure is fine cold & hot. Also middle floor all fine. Top floor cold is fine - but hot water literally trickles out.

On the bath a plumber changed the cartridge as he thought was due to cartridge being 8 years old & a hard water area. Didnt do anything. (Shower hot trickles out too).

Had megaflow serviced. Report was its fine & its in pretty good order. Also boiler serviced which was fine too. Potterman boiker.

We are a family of 2 so bath/shower/boiler/megaflow isnt over used at all.

Any idea what could be the issue? Thanks very much.

Is it a new problem or always been like that? If the latter, maybe the mains pressure is too low, or if there's pressure reducer, it's set too low.

It is a new build but of 8 years. First 7 months are fine. Pressure ground & 1st floor are fine - its top floor hot water flow only thats an issue.

Perhaps the mains pressure has reduced. I believe the water company has to provide a minimum pressure, but were exceeding that by a margin, and now they've cut back. Worth speaking to them .
There was a case on here a while back where somebody's kit had stopped working for that reason. He was miffed but there was nothing he could do.

Would that affect hot only? Cold water pressure is absolutely fine. Again top floor only.

Probably not, missed that, I should have read your post more carefully. Any other filters that might need cleaning?
I think it could be an issue with the Megaflow? Could a pipe get blocked? Hot water pipe?

Time to check dynamic pressure and flow to and from the Unvented.

The resource that is investigating this should be familiar and qualified with unvented systems and should really know how to problem solve. Should be easy enough to track down what the issue. Maybe check your resource is qualified and is experienced in fault finding advanced HW systems??
