I have purchased German basin/bath taps which have a much smaller aperture feed than equivalent UK taps.
Although there seems to be enough cold water pressure to produce a reasonable flow, the flow from the hot tap is very weak.
Somebody told me I should install a pump, but there don't seem to be readily available.

The hot water is produced by a conventional system and not a close system (i.e Combi).

Can anybody shed some light on this please?

Most continental systems are high pressure, hence need for same.

If the CW is from the mains that's why its flow is OK.

Is it a mixer tap?

Once you ask about pumps, the shower comes into the equation, so what have you got?

Chris,

Thanks very much for answering.

I have a Watermill 3bar pump (BP100D) serving two showers.
And yes, I do have mixer taps.

The pump does not automatically activate when running the taps.

Thanks, John.
