Heatmiser PRT room stat

Whenever the hot water is switched on, the central heating goes off, and power is lost to the room stat. Although I replaced the Danfoss mechanical stat last week, this has been happening for around a year. Now it is more noticeable, because the Heatmiser stat display goes off.
I've checked the operation of the 3-way valve, and physically this cycles and spring returns as expected when the water is switched on or off. The valve itself turns freely. I suspect a problem with the switching inside the Sunvic actuator, but would appreciate any advise. Thanks...
