Our Son has a Fortic Hotwater Heater installed in his flat. Recently he fitted a new sink in the kitchen with a mixer tap. The mixer tap has two 8m/m pipes suppling water with a non return valve fitted to the hot supply.Since installing the new tap the water flow has almost stopped and in some cases ceases all together. By knocking the non return valve the water flow starts again however it comes out in a trickle.

The water supply to the bathroom sink is fine, although they are seperate taps and are fed by 12m/m pipes.

Can anyone offer suggestions how to get round this problem with the flow to the hot water tap in the kitchen sink.

Thanks for your reply, yes it is fitted the right way round as the water was coming out to start with.

sounds like a stuck non return valve or the hot water pressure is too low to open it
