I live in a small 2 bed flat in London and we have no gas. Our hot water system is really old (installed in 1985!). I think we have a vented indirect system and it's got cold water storage above and a pump for pressure.
We have the opportunity to replace it whilst some work is being done to our flat but I don't know where to start!
What would be the most efficient solution to improve our system and save space in our cupboard? Ideally I want to make sure water pressure is good and save some space in our cupboard. We live in a very hard water area if that is a factor. The cupboard is internal and I don't think our flat is suitable for a heat pump.
I want to make sure I do it right so that we don't have to redo it again in future, get stuck with bad water pressure or get saddled with loads of expense in future.
The tank provides water for a kitchen sink a bathroom sink and a shower - all of which are about 3 meters away from the tank.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated!
