Is their such a device available that would enable me to read the temperature of the water in my hot water tank, remote from the tank?

The tank is upstairs in the airing cupboard but I want to be able read the temperature of the water downstairs.

I could use a vehicle type capillary temperature gauge (by soldering the union to receive the capillary sender to the tank) but that would be somewhat crude - I'd much prefer a digital readout type.

If their isn't a system like that available, the components to make one probably are, it would include - hopefully - a stick on sensor for the tank.

Any ideas anyone?
