Hi,

I purchased a repossessed property which has an unvented hot water tank which has been drained for the past 5 months. The property has electric heating so the tank is for heating water only.

To re-fill the tank, is it as simple as turning on the mains supply and once the system is full and no leaks, open each tap to remove any trapped air?

It is a FLAMCO SUPASTOR UNVENTED CYLINDER.

Thanks

You are better to have the hot water taps open and then re-fill the cylinder, once there is no more air being expelled from the taps then close them, furthest away first.

I would recommend getting a qualified unvented chap in to take a look and service it. It may need the EV and the (T)PRV's looked at.
