i have a combi boiler and the hot water kitchen tap works ok then slows to a trickle. all other hot water taps in house work fine.

Have you got a flexible tap connector under tap? These can narrow the flow when water get hot and make the rubber tube inside softer. This can happen if it is kink or not straight or tight/twist bend.

As above - faulty tap or faulty flexible tap connector.
