Hot Water to upstairs Basin

Since have a combi fitted it takes ages to get hot water coming through the upstairs basin tap. Is this normal with a combi? It's a real nuisance for washing hands. Hubbie likes to shave with near boiling water so has to keep boiling a kettle. Is there anything we can do to get round this?
