Just found this site & hope someone can help!! My combination boiler (Vaillant turbomax) refuses to heat the hot water unless the tap is set to full! it's only just started doing this.now i guess it's whatever tells the boiler that there is demand for water but where(and what!)is that part/sensor.I've read the book but that hasn't helped me.i've read some pages on the 'net which talk about setting this sensor to manual over ride?? Any help/advice would be great.TIA,dave

some more info-if the CH is ON the water will heat whatever the flow rate,as soon as the CH is off the water will only heat with the tap fully open.Looking inside the boiler there is a valve thing(sorry!!) with a micro switch on it-this move when(1)the CH is ON and (2)when hot water is drawn at a HIGH rate ONLY(tap FULLY on) i'm guessing this valve should be more sensitive and should infact be moving when the flow rate is less?? i don't know the name of it but looking in the book it looks like the diverter valve?? Does this sound like the faulty part??any ideas how much this part should be? Thanks........
