please can someone help, machine keeps going on to a test cycle will not let me do any washing, desparate for any info

Do you have a manual for it ?

There is normally a faultfinding chart in them at the back. It'll probably say "call engineer" but worth a look if you have it!

I think someone has accidentally pressed some buttons and locked you into test mode.
To get out of it you need to press start, the display should go daft. Press start again and the display should settle down. Now press the on/off button and the start button at the same time and hold them down for a few seconds until the display shows d-end or d-off.
Your machine should now work.
Hope this helps.

This should be stamped on every machine. I wonder how much money they have made in call outs !!
I would like to thank you for this post - Our machine is 5 years old. My husband took 2 days taking the machine apart and replaced bearings successfully. Pushed machine back in place and it went into this "TEST" we have spent all morning trying to work out the digital display and about to call engineer, thought we would try internet for advice and came across your post. He must have pressed the buttons when putting it back in place. Problem resolved in 2 mins. Absolutely amazed and thank you so so much, this has saved us a lot of money.
Thanks again, you are a star !!
