hotpoint aquarius ctd40 dryer drum stopped

hiya all,

My dryer was working perfectly well until this morning, the drum has stopped turning, although if you press start it sounds like a pump is working just no motion. I really could do without the expense of buying a new one and want to know if it would be a simple repair?

Take the lid of and press start and then turn drum by hand does it start. If so capacitor has gone.
