Hotpoint Aquarius washing machine - is it repairable?

Hi, I hope someone out there might be able to help me. My Hotpoint WML 560 washing machine has broken down. It's around 6 years old.

I wondered if it's worth calling out a repairman or shall I save my money and get a new machine?

There is power to the panel and the lights are all working. When I close the door, it locks but when I start the programme, nothing at all happens. No noise, no water fill, nothing. Most of the time I can re-open the door although it did get stuck shut once. We turned the machine off at the socket and then back on again, and we could then open the door.

Any ideas/advice please?

Worn motor brushes won't stop the drum filling.....

Yes it will it takes the netural supply out from the motor hence no full no drum action no pump nothing at all.
