Hi all

I hope someone can help.

I have a Hotpoint Aquarius WDL540g washer/dryer. It has been working fine, but recently It developed a fault. The 4 Bottom lights were flashing fast, whilst there was water in the drum. I pulled the green cord for manual open, and the pump started running for a few seconds to pump the water out, then stopped whilst water was still inside. I had to do this a few times and then the water drained off. And the problem still persists.

I have read a few posts that suggests that it could be

The dryer heating element (which could show open circuit, therefore needs replacement)

But I am not sure of that’s the case here because as I pull the green cord for manual release it seems to kick in for a few seconds. Could it be the door lock causing the problem?

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you

Check the thermistor on the heater box. Swap it over for the heater one to test.

hi Rock1

thanks for your help. I checked the system and found a damaged wire to the thermistor.

repaired and working fine.
