washing machine stopped mid cycle. i thought it might be interlock switch because the door lock light was not coming on so i replaced the switch. still will not start up. if i switch it off then on and press start it makes a noise like it has just started filling the soap dispenser but stops almost straight away. i undid the interlock switch and manually operated it with the door open but nothing. when i was putting the switch back it suddenly started to fill with the door open so i quickly screwed the switch back but as i closed the door it stopped filling. i had the door open once again and the door lock light was flashing after a few minutes. any ideas??
