Hotpoint Aquarius WF321 - 2 lights on console

Hi all,

Our washing machine has developed a problem over the last couple of days..
Basically when you start a wash the wash light illuminates (as usual) - then between 2-3 minutes later the door lock light flashes. The wash light stays illuminated and nothing happens from there on... I can confirm the door is properly closed.

I took out the PCB but there's no obvious signs of damage on it. My proper multimeter is at work so I won't have access to that until at least tomorrow evening so I can't test the caps but they look OK!

Does anyone have any idea what the above symptoms could be relating to?

Check motor brushes. Poss worn

hard to tell in their holders, but I would expect to see more than that sticking out so I think they probably are. New ones are about 40mm long, so anything less than25mm & I would change them.
