Hotpoint Aquerius wash/dry

My daughters machine has stopped drying, can anyone give me the resistance of the dryer element.

The actual resistance is not important, it will either read a few ohms (good) or infinity ohms (bad).

Thanks Fidom, my reading was 1 ohm, I did'nt think that was enough.

Ah, that sounds like a short circuit if your meter is on the correct range. Remove both wires from the heater and check the resistance between a terminal and the metal bracket where the heater is screwed to the machine. If that also reads one ohm you need a new heater.
