Hotpoint BD31/51 Double Oven Fan Not Working

Hi,

My Mum has the above oven and the fan has stopped working. I am wondering if it is just a build up of years of grime and wondered if there was any way to access the fan to clean it?

Or does anyone have any other ideas on the cause? I think she said if you prod the fan whilst the oven is on it starts working which is what makes me think it is a build up of grease etc.

It probably is dirt in the bearings. It is possible to dismantle and clean parts like this, but they tend to pack up again quite quickly. Have a look at eSpares and eBay for a replacement
