Hotpoint BF1620 lights 2 and 4 flashing!!

Hi dishwasher is about 5 years old and has worked faultlessly. When we start it now it hums, makes a bit of a water noise then stops with lights 2 and 4 flashing.

From forums it could be a heater fault but I have pulled it apart and can't even find a heater element?

Anyone know what the problem is and what needs replacing??

Heater is under the base. It's a tubular heater next to the drain pump. Google the part and you will see a pic of it.
