We've got a Hotpoint cooker EW93 and when we turn the main oven on to a set temperature the preheat light doesn't go off even after an hour or so whereas usually it would take about 10 minutes.
The oven is getting hot although and after about 1.5 hours the oven went off and the the display showed 'ER 17' and the cooling fan ran for a long time.
After switching it off for an hour or so when it is turned back on the oven comes on again but again the preheat light doesn't go out but the oven is getting hot.
Does anyone have the service manual for one of these?
The top oven and the hob work fine.
