Hi there, I really hope some body can help me... I have a hot point luce HKB6X cooker hood that I brought second hand, it has been brilliant until now..... The first led light will blink, then the 2nd and then it will randomly switch the fan on itself, 2am this morn was the last time!... I have cleaned the filters, it still does it. I have removed all filters, it still does it. I switched it off at mains and on again, it still does it. I have reset blinking lights( as these indicate filters need changing) and it STILL does it. I phoned up hot point and they can't talk me through a trouble shoot, they want to send an engineer out at £110 or sign me up for 12 payments of £15!!! Neither of which I can afford .... I'm practical and it has got me stumped.... Any help or suggestions would be greatly recieved.... Kind regards Emma

After cleaning filter did you reset the extractor?
... I think I did, but with the random blinking and the fan coming on by itself, I may not have done it correctly?!do I follow the manufacture instructions for that, or is it something else to reset???.... I will check again to make sure I have done it as it says on instructions.. do you think this may be the problem? I have not replaced the carbon charcoal filter yet, I can't see this being the problem? Thanks for ur reply 
Does the model have filter saturation button?
It is detail as T5 by the manufacture, the symbol may display multiple horizontal lines formed as a square.
If so reset after filter removal, clean, replace would require this button to be used as reset.
*Hold in for 5 seconds
* If both lights are coming on the above may require repeating.
