:( working perfectly then suddenly stopped mid cycle, since then when plugged in LCD flashes for a sec. then nothing- no power no nothing-is it worth repairing, Hotpoint want £99.98.
Every time I plug it in the LCD flashes on for a sec

pcb will cost more than that .yes worth it

must have had a blonde day or 2
turns out I had knocked the on/off switch trying to put something on top
(this is what i was told) always switched off/on by mains, never used button
and it had locked......felt a bit silly, good job it was a friends friend that looked and not the Hotpoint team. cost me a cuppa 8)

My tumble dryer was running for about 5 minutes then powering off, after a few minutes it would power up and flash. Turned out as read on here the socket was shot on the wall. I'm a sparks and never considered that.... Running on an extension lead now, uncoiled of course ans working fine, too lazy to go to the van and fit a new socket tonight [/code]
