This has just started to happen a little after the 12months guarantee has run out 
After about 10-15mins the dryer will turn its self off, the screen and the blue on light go out for around 5-10 seconds then the screen will flash on/off a few times and i can hear the sound of a relay or an electrical short. The screen has no fault indication and after a few flashes, comes back on with the time remaining. I can then set it away again but it will soon turn its self off again.
I thought it was over heating so i've given it a very good clean and its all spotless.
My wife has said it used to flash the fault code F10 so it could be the stat needs reset, but now it doesnt show any fault. Is it worth resetting the stat anyway just to see if it works?
