Hello,

My dishwasher no longer works, I traced the fault to the connector block which mates to the door microswitch. The micro switch tests ok with multimeter but the connector is melted.

What could have caused this? I could bypass the connector and crimp wired straight to the microswitch, but concerned the overheating may occur again.

Any advise would be welcomed!

Thanks Stuart

Could possibly have been a loose spade connector causing the overheating, could be switch is faulty. Not sure a resistance test with a multi meter is a guarantee it is OK. Personally I would replace the switch & the plug along with new spade connectors.

Thanks jj4091… I will look to order new switch as a precaution.
