I am looking to install a new dishwasher as above and when the delivery guys unpacked it they left a mottled colour soft pad on the top.

Does this remain as a protective surface to save the worktop overheating and scorching from heat generating the top of the dishwasher or should it be removed and is only for shipping purposes?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

chuck it its only packing to stop the top gettimg damaged.
