Hotpoint TCM570 Condenser dryer changed heating ele + themo

Hi all

I bought a used dryer (model in topic) and noticed that it was not heating so had a look at the heating element and thermostat, it had it's day. I ordered the new part on line and fitted myself.

My question is was this safe to do so was it just plug and play as I thought or would it have to be regulated in some way? the reason I ask is it is working 100% but leaves the cloths etc very hot.

Sorry I do not understand what you mean by flush?

If you mean flushing out the vent from back to front with water? (google)

Also should the vent be wet I just removed it and it was wet from the inside? It looks clean I could see through the vents back to front.

At the bottom is a silver condenser. It pulls out and has a metal grid in it. This should be cleaned with a hose pipe and put back dry.

Just doing that to speed the drying of the silver condenser I used a hair dryer. That has done the trick

I also have the same problem, dryer is not getting warm. I have changed the 2 thermostats on the back near the heating element and I have also changed the heating element and still no warm air, I have noticed another thermostat/sensor in the door opening but not changed that one, its all cleaned out but still no joy someone HELP! the wife cant dry the clothes and I'm getting the grief

Yes could be the exhaust stat, check with meter, or could be a fault with the timer.
