hotpoint washer dryer

hey, ive got a problem with my program selector on my hotpoint washer/dryer, it stuck on one program and will not select another one, when i try to turn it, it just spins freely with no click like normal, ive tried a bit of wd40 to losen it up but no good please help!!!!![/color

Take the knob off and replace it. The collar on it has split. Or you can put a cable tie round it to pull it tighter.
