I woke up in the night to find non of my electric sockets working. On investingating I found that the washing machine had tripped the switch in the fuse box. The washing machine had not been on and was turned off at the machine at the time. In fact it only takes turning the machine on at the plug socket to trip the electric. I have tried changing the fuse in the plug but this has not helped, any ideas please.
Thanks

Cut the plug off and put a new one on it.

Moulded plugs short out the the join where it enters the plug. I do about 4 a week , that's the first and easy option to do as the mc was off when it happened and still plugged in. Hope that explains it.
