Hotpoint WM63 suspension legs

Hi everyone I had just done a repair on my washing machine but another problem has arisen the suspension leg has work its way out from where it was supposed to be and I do not know how to replace it or fix it back in place does anyone have any knowledge on these things please

Not 100% sure but I think you have to take the weight off the drum( ie lift it up) & drop the end of the gas spring into the hole on the top of the mounting bracket in the base( 1 on each side ).
