Hotpoint WMA44 Aquarius DEAD?

Hello,

My washing machine stopped part way through a cycle and wont turn on again. It was making a strange noise for a couple of washes previous to this. The fuse had blown which I have changed but there are still no lights on. The second fuse is fine as I have tried it in the toaster to see if it had blown.

Any suggestions?
