machine stopped at rinse stage full of mucky water - i switched to drain cycle and all the indicator lights flashed and nothing else happened. switched off at wall waited one minute and switched back on again - same result. tried to drain from hose but hardly any water came ou and washing machine still full. Opened door and flooded kitchen and scooped all water out - checked filter at bottom front - that was ok. tried switching on again - same result ?

Check the impeller on the pump then check sump hose. and waste pipe. You have a blockage somewhere.

unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a blockage. if there was wudn't the drum still rotate trying to drain ?

No , it will empty first then drum would move. If there is no or little water coming out if pipe means there's a blockage somewhere. If the drum is now empty cos its over the floor does the pump make a noise. Can you see the impeller moving in the pump.
