Hotpoint WT540 Lights

Quick question, at one stage all lights were flashing on panel and on/off light flashing. Now just lights 1&4 - if I buy the 1000u capacitor from Maplin is that all I need or do I need a board from EMW too? If I buy the board I guess I don't need the capacitor?

Can you unplug it for 5 mins. You got error f09 eprom set up failed. If that don't work then the chip needs updating.

Hi Rocks, tried uplugging it at the socket for around 30 mins, same issue...not just a capacitor swap out then? How do I get the chip updated?

It may have lost its memory due to the cap failed. You can't update it you need a smart card reader and card. Cost 130.00. You could replace cap at a quid and see if it works or send pcb of to emw for exchange cost about 45.00
