House out of trees

I was watching The House that 100k Built last night

and wondering how building a house out of trees works out for Building Control. The timber isn't going to be graded, is it? Would a SE have to be involved or are there tables for pine trees?

They also claimed to have no firm plans at the outset, which they must have done, sure, for, er, Planning?

I'll just add my standard comment about Kieran's infuriating habit of talking off camera to an imaginary friend, even when walking forwards (presumably the imaginary friend must be walking backwards).

There are indeed tables ( not 4 legged ones ) Look up Log. tables on google
