Versus your petrol tank that's been filled with diesel
When I had a yacht at Cobbs Quay in Poole, 2 maybe 3 jerrycans normally did me a year. Bloke next to me on the pontoon had a Sealine, don't know what size engine but if had a blast across to the IOW it would set him back a few hundred quid, and that was in the days of red diesel at 5 or 6 quid for a jerrycan (20 litres?).
If you didn't keep moaning about what a hard life you have due to your riches, people wouldn't comment.

I've actually been looking at Sealines - the older ones have the rather thirsty KAD/TAMDs which I prefer to avoid. Supercharged and Turbo Charged diesels circa y2000 drink around 20 gallons an hour each at modest RPM. I'd prefer Volvo D4s or D6s with modern electronic fuelling. You can still buy the fuel claiming "heating" tax on a 60/40, which of course on a powerboat is ridiculous.
