How’s Rachael from accounts getting on…..

They said it hundreds of thousands of times :ROFLMAO:

And this was in their manifesto

We want to end mass dependence on emergency food parcels, which is a moral scar on our society.
I guess this suggestion will upset a lot of people but I think that the UK should copy the USA idea and issue Food stamps rather than a monetary sum - can easily be the same value.
With Food Stamps the value can only be spent on Food - No alcohol, No tobacco, No Drugs; Change in the form of 'stamps'. Could easily be a plastic card that can only be 'spent' at food shops.

But what if they really need an iPhone 16 or Taylor swift tickets.

A personalised photo card which could only (or mainly) be used for permitted uses, needing a pin number, could work for disabliity (etc) benefits too. So I could use it up to some limit for, say, cab fares or petrol if and when I need them, rather than giving me money every month.

The aim, would be that provision be made for all the needs for disabillities (and other classes of natural disadvantage), with no wastage on unrequired handouts.

The paying infrastructure is mostly there The Mondex (cash on card) model could be adapted too.

I get about £7800 a year from PIP. I can't think of more than about £200 which would have come off the card, in a year. I might use a cab occasionally.

Some think the allowances are "for being disabled". They do have that function I suppose, to help one feel less hard-done-by by luck, but that's not the intention.

Labour will save families hundreds of pounds, slash fuel poverty

I don't remember that one. How did they claim they were going to manage that. I vaguely recall something about "British Energy".

Its in the manifesto this is what it said
Labour will save families hundreds of pounds, slash fuel poverty
Did they say the manifesto pledges would all be achieved in the first fourteen months? I don't think so.

Cool back track now you have found and read the manifesto --- didn’t make it up then did I. Anyone would have thought I make hundreds of thousands of things up. ;)

Yes you did, they haven't broken a manifesto pledge.
