how are the Mice getting in the house

hi
live in a large single storey Cedar house . every winter get the Mice influx but havent got a clue how to isolate the entry point.

its a large property,with brick base ranging from 6 inches to 2 foot

nearly impossible, they can get through holes down to 5 or 6 mm dia.
Some modern super eco houses that are pressure tested probably do. But for everyone else, if the want in they will find aawy
 
You won't keep them out. They can get in through the tiniest gap so small that you can hardly even see it. I've tried most methods of eradication and the only thing that works is spring loaded snap traps. Put plenty of them around baited with peanut butter and check them every day. After a while the numbers you catch will decline and eventually you will just catch the occasional one.
 
I seen this fluff moving along a brick wall. It was a mouse!.
They climb walls.
Get in neighbours then to you.
Normally around October through to November is peek time.
 
Found an old electronic mouse trap in my annex loft , must be very effective there was 6-7 dead mice packed into it .
