Woke up to a cold house, heating didn't come on.
Flashing red light on boiler.
Located condenser pipe, sitting in frozen gutter.
Have fixed it!

But, it's going to keep happening. How to resolve?
Run is very low to ceiling, boiler in the loft. Pipe didn't freeze in loft, which is good.
I guess I should lag the pipe anyway, just to make it less likely to freeze?
Was thinking of trimming the outlet pipe so if gutter frozen the water can still get out.

Can you run the pipe internally to the soil pipe.
External condensate pipe should be 32mm.

Internally with gravity and try to size up to 50mm if in a loft

If your gutters are that full you could do with sorting the fall on them (or clean the carp out).

Yeah, gutters might need improving, had to do a few repairs myself. Usually OK though, first time this has happened in 5 years.

Don't have any soil pipes inside it can connect to.

50mm for condensate? Can I ask why.

Because I've had 32mm & 44mm Freeze . And for a small cost why wouldn't you.

Saves on call backs and makes a better job

If I can I'll run a 2.5m W/M hose inside the 50mm so it's insulated

Wow, that's going some, must have some bad luck there.

I live up here in freezy Scotland and never had a properly installed and insulated 32mm pipe freeze. I've had 11 calls this week about 21.5mm external condi's freezing but none from any of my clients that have an external 32mm pipe runs.

Sorry, I have had one but that's was down to the downpipe freezing up, as it has got blocked with leaves and crud.

Some of the condense are so badly run.

We don't get it often Beast from the east and this December.

For the time and effort I don't see why not.

I think the pipe must be 32mm
Looks like from Sunday the weather will be mild for a week, so I'll try to clear the gutter and that should be the end of it...

I cut the end of the pipe off so more room for future I've build up too.
