Hi , I have a bathroom with a small glass folding shower door with a gap above in a rental property
I am wondering if I can reduce condensation, and at least contain it in the bathroom.

Theres an extractor above the shower ,
Theres a gap above the shower door. I was thinking of blocking that, but then looked at some ideas online and they are saying it needs ventilation to get fresher air in.

Some are also saying to put a vent in the bathroom door.

What do you guys think ?

To be honest as it's tenanted they may leave the door open I'm not sure

Common problem with tenants, they often dry washing indoors and if they are from warmer climate don’t understand the problems in can cause in UK weather .
Fan needs to be switched every time Bathroom is used ( regardless of reason ) a sensor switch is useful with timer run on .

Whereabouts is the black mould?

Is there a window in the bathroom that can be opened?

The fan should be caused to run, automatically, every time the bathroom is used, and should run on for at least 20 minutes after use - that means PIR triggered, with a timer. It's no good just having an extract fan, unless there is a way for replacement air to enter the room. That usually involves either a fixed air vent, or a door with an adequate gap.

that means PIR triggered

If the bathroom doesn't have a window (which I'm not clear about from the reply above - maybe it has a non-opening one?) then you can be fairly confident that the light will be turned on whenever it is in use, hence no need for a PIR, just connect to the light as normal.
