How do i close this hole ????

Ok gang, Extension now all finished apart from a few minor things.

here is the front room now its finished

But how do i close the cavity left where i made the the door way ?

One of the bricks was loose so i removed it. I assume i dont simply fill it with concrete ? down at the bottom of the hole it seems quite damp so i dont want the damp rising through the concrete.

I was going to bury the neighbours dog when i first layed the footings... One of those little rat looking things.

It sh**s at my garden gate every morning...

So the other method would be simply lay visquene in a U shape and fill with Crete ?

Do i bring it over the brick tops or simply end at the top ?

i would take the bricks out, the concrete will be too thin otherwise and soon crack.

the bricks are being used as a filler

The bricks were the outside wall untill i broke through... I get your point about it being too thin though..
