How do I disable the email notifications?

If you are fed up with old threads popping up, like hi-jacked ones, go to top right of the thread and click un-watch.
I think that will do it.

It's the notifications that I have a message or been quoted etc.

Click on your username (top right of any page)
then click on "Alert Preferences" and remove the checkbox for the alerts you don't want to receive

I don't mind the alerts on the site but the email notification is a nuisance.

Watched threads towards the top of the screen Terry. I went to preferences and selected "No email notifications " and still received them. Every time I post now I immediately go to watched threads and select "Stop watching thread"
